ELECTRICITY & MAGNETISM: THE POWER OF DUAL PROCESS IN POETIC CRAFT

  • Kent Student Center, Kent State University 1075 Risman Dr. Kent, OH 44242 US (map)

A panel in the first POETS FOR SCIENCE gathering: scientist-poets Jan Conn (Entomology, Genetics), Adrienne Drobnies (Chemistry, Genomics), and Lisa Rosenberg (Physics, Engineering) discuss how the interplay of skills between disciplines opens new approaches to poetic craft. By detailing the genesis and refinement of a handful of poems, new perceptual, analytic, imaginative, and structural possibilities arise. This conversational presentation closes with strategies to spark new compositional pathways.

Check back in early October for date and time of this panel. Registration is open.
