Poet, singer, dancer, memoirist, and civil rights activist Maya Angelou was a San Francisco original. In honor of National Poetry Month, San Francisco Poet Laureate Kim Shuck will host a program celebrating Maya Angelou's life and poetry. Come hear Kim and local poets Kelechi Ubozoh and Lisa Rosenberg read their own work, writings about Maya Angelou, and Angelou's own poems. Please join us in celebrating one of the unique voices of our literary city!
