Home Again: Tapestry Reimagined

  • Berkeley Art Museum & Pacific Film Archive 2155 Center St. Berkeley, California 94704 USA (map)

Acclaimed San Francisco drummer/producer PC Muñoz leads an all-star trio and guest soloists through a lovingly crafted reweaving of Carole King’s blockbuster 1971 album "Tapestry." The album will be performed in sequence and rendered in unique new musical contexts — from funk to jazz, hip-hop, poetics, and beyond. Featuring Bang Data guitarist Michael Cavaseno, bassist Aaron Germain, San Mateo County Poet Laureate Lisa Rosenberg, percussionist Amelie Hinman, clarinetist Ben Goldberg, San Jose rapper DEM ONE, and vocalists Zoe Ellis and Francesca Lee. FREE with gallery admission or same-day film ticket. Co-presented by the JCC East Bay.
